A Cycling Adventure in the Stunning Landscapes of Lake Saimaa
The Ukonniemi area in Imatra offers four different multi-use trails suitable for cycling, running, and walking. You can start on the trails from any point and travel in either direction, so please be mindful of others coming your way. When cycling, adjust your speed to suit the terrain and weather conditions, and always wear a helmet. Use of the trails is at your own risk. Areas requiring extra caution, such as intersections, are marked with a yellow warning triangle.

Lammassaare Trail
The Lammassaari mountain biking trail is a unique combination of varied terrain, technical challenges, and breathtaking lake views. This 4.5-kilometre route offers diverse riding experiences for both leisurely riders and seasoned mountain bikers. Along the trail, you'll find a grill shelter, campfire spots, and a swimming area, making the ride even more enjoyable. The route is clearly marked with signposts, making navigation easy. Lammassaari is easily accessible from the centre of Imatra, and the trailhead is just a short distance away by car or bike. There is a parking area next to the island where the trail begins. Mustalampi Mountain Biking Trail
The Mustalampi mountain biking trail offers beautiful views of Lake Saimaa, a historic timber floating chute, and idyllic forest ponds. This approximately 9-kilometre trail consists mainly of narrow paths. Some of the most difficult sections have been made easier with wooden structures, but the rocky and occasionally steep terrain still includes technically challenging parts.
