Beautiful scenery
The Puumala route invites you to enjoy cycling, whether you're aiming for an active day trip or a leisurely journey over several days. Along the route, you'll find plenty of cyclist-friendly services that make the trip easy and enjoyable. Bike ferries operate daily from June to August and on Saturdays in May and September, allowing for flexible trip planning.

The Puumala Archipelago Route is a 60-kilometre scenic journey, and it can be combined with the Saimaa Archipelago Route, which offers 210 kilometres of stunning island views, bridges, and scenic ridges. Ferry crossings add to the experience and make it possible to combine both routes. Along the way, you'll find fascinating Saimaa Geopark sites, history-filled stories, cozy accommodations, and perfect camping spots in the heart of nature.

The route is full of sights and experiences, so a multi-day trip allows you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of Lake Saimaa.
