The route between Lappeenranta and Imatra is an excellent choice if you want to explore the Saimaa Canal, the Imatrankoski Rapids, and the border between Finland and Russia all in one trip.
The full route is approximately 103 kilometres long and takes you through peaceful countryside landscapes near the Russian border. One of the highlights is an exciting 20-kilometre section that follows a cycling path alongside the Saimaa Canal.
